What it does

SocialBu through an assistant

SocialBu runs a brand's social media: scheduling to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Pinterest and Threads, a shared inbox, social listening and analytics. This connector covers all of SocialBu's API -- more than SocialBu's own MCP server, which leaves out the inbox, listening, queues, tags and media. The difference that matters is control: a post is always created as a draft, and publishing, scheduling, queueing, approving and every inbox reply each need an explicit confirmation, because once a network has shown a post or delivered a reply there is no taking it back.

Creates a post as a DRAFT on one or more social accounts. It is never published by this tool, whatever the input: drafting is safe to do speculatively. Review it with socialbu_get_post, then go public with socialbu_schedule_post or socialbu_publish_post_now. `publish_at` is the intended time, stored on the draft; it defaults to 24 hours from now. Attach media by uploading first and passing the upload_token values.

Edits a draft or scheduled post: content, intended time, attachments, options, tags. Only the fields given change. It never publishes and never changes a post's draft state or approval -- those are socialbu_schedule_post, socialbu_publish_post_now and socialbu_review_post. Editing a SCHEDULED post changes what will publish at its scheduled time.

After the upload, socialbu_get_upload_status with that key returns the upload_token to attach. For anything smaller, socialbu_upload_media or socialbu_upload_media_from_url is one step.

Access & safety

You decide what it can touch

The same model applies to every connector, and it defaults closed.

Your own credential

You supply your own SocialBu key, scoped however you like on their side. It is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and never returned by any API response or tool call.

Writes off by default

A new connection switches on a read-oriented default set only. Every write tool must be enabled deliberately before any client can call it.

Roles enforced server-side

READ, WRITE and ADMIN gate tool invocation on the server, not just in the UI. A READ member's token is refused any write tool.
